While we do support specific policies, at its core, our movement is focused on solutions. We’re interested in good ideas which will have a positive effect on our communities. We prioritize impact over ideology. We seek out and promote the most data-driven and pragmatic solutions to today’s biggest challenges. 

Here are some policies we support:

UBI & Cash Assistance

• We believe direct cash assistance is the best and most efficient way to empower our communities and allow all people to thrive. 

• Level Up California supports the study and implementation of universal basic income programs and pilots as a means to reduce poverty and homelessness, improve health and quality of life, and boost entrepreneurship.

Democracy Reform

• Let’s make our democracy work better for everyone.

• We support reforms like ranked choice voting, democracy dollars, proportional representation, redistricting reform, and more.

Data Rights

• If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product. 

• This has never been more true than right now in the digital age. 

• We believe people have a right to exercise control over their personal data, and to get paid for it.

Environmental Protection

• This planet is our home, and it will take a strong and diverse coalition to ensure it’s protected for future generations.

• We support policies like The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, which simultaneously incentivizes environmentally responsible behavior and provides direct cash assistance.

Healthcare 

• Healthcare is a human right, and our system is fundamentally broken. We support innovative ways to modernize our healthcare system so no one is left behind.
